Tuesday and Wednesday

Since I had little to no sleep from the crazy trip to Denver we decided to keep it kind of low key for our activities on Tuesday. I knew I wanted to revisit some of the sights from where I grew up and it just so happens that there's now a fabulous mall close to my home in Littleton. So we drove by all the houses and relived a few memories. The kids were asleep in the back so I couldn't say 'Hey this is where mommy grew up", though it's not like they'd understand anyways. I moved from Littleton when I was 7 so there isn't much for me to remember, but some things still stick out in my memory. The elementary school was exactly the same and the house had the oddest blue trim on it. It looked like painters tape but it was actually paint! After reminiscing we went shopping! I love a good mall and this one was pretty good. It was a little on the high end of things, but I still found a great skirt. Then after some American Idol we all hit the sack.

Wednesday was much more exciting. We were blessed with excellent weather during my stay, but we wanted to take advantage of it just incase it went away. The one thing I really wanted to do was go up into the mountains. I wanted Cade to see the mountains and get some good pictures. So we decided to head up to Estes Park. It was a gorgeous drive and just a wonderful day to be with nature. The only unfortunate thing was that since it was the off season a lot of the shops were closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Still we all found what we were looking for: food, sweets (because the two are different!), toys, clothes, and cowboy outfits! We even stopped on the way down the mountains for pictures and some playtime with sticks, rocks and the creek. We stayed up a bit later this time and played cards and talked.
