Daddy was away for a week so we (mommy) had to find some different things to do just to break up the monotony. Like... get donuts!
Eat breakfast while watching cartoons
And play with balloons! I didn't include ALL of the pictures with the balloon, but Cade wanted to pose with it. I'd take a picture and then he'd say, "Now take one like this!" and then go do something crazy.
But now Daddy is home and there is a taste of spring in the air. We've been in the 60s all week and it's been GREAT to get out of the house. Here's our neighbor's cat catching some rays on the logs. (that's all wood from that tree that fell over during the Nor'easter)
This is a picture of Cade's creation. He put it in front of our door 'to keep the people and monsters out'.
And outside time means bicycle time!
And 'fishing' time!
And let's not forget our lovely fenced in patio that they boys can go crazy in and give their mother some time to get some things done!
Cade wrote Alex's name!
And now that Dan is back we are in full swing with our Low-Carb meals. This is a meal created from a book that my Dad and wife Corrie sent called 500 low-carb recipes. The salmon is baked in foil with yogurt, mayo, orange extract, lemon juice, scallions and some parsley. The asparagus is steamed and the chilled and served with aioli (a very garlicky mayonnaise) and some parmesan! It was very good!
