The game of life!

On this week's episode of "The McBride Family game of Life"...

Laura rolled a 4 and got a massive hole in the roof! Thanks to torrential downpours water began dribbling into Cade's room and then eventually made its way through the light fixture and onto his floor. Cade reported, "It was raining in my room."

Dan rolled an 8 and got a car repair! A new catalytic converter, O2 sensors and $800 later...

Cade rolled a 3 and and got ANOTHER car repair! The space on the board said, "Car is still doing the same thing. Spend another $200 to try and fix it again!"

Then Alex rolled a 9 and landed on a space that said, "Oops, car still isn't fixed. What's wrong with you?"

Thanks for playing the game of life! Ack!


Yes, this really is just what life is like sometimes. I can't complain TOO much because it's been awhile since we've needed any major repairs. Thankfully we're renting so the roof cost us nothing. Turns out that the damage was purty bad. Maybe if they'd looked into it when we moved in in September and mentioned it??? And who knows on the car. It dies when i start it if it's been sitting for awhile. First they said it was the cat. converter and O2 sensors, then they said it was the coolant and throttle sensors, and it's still dying. Who knows...

Still we are chipper and enjoying the gorgeous weather and eachother!
