Well the day has come and gone. All of the countdowns, all of the activities, all of the songs and lights come down to this one day. I think the best present of all was that our kids slept in until about 7:30 (a miracle!), and we needed it because we were up until 1:30 putting their Santa gift together. All in all it was a good day with the kids and we're very thankful for everything that came our way for Christmas.
Christmas Eve we continued our tradition of having the missionaries over for dinner (ham, potatoes, green beans and rolls with sparking apple cider) and even played some Uno. They watched as the kids opened one present and read some scriptures before bed. After the kids were 'asleep' we watched the First Presidency Christmas Devotional and had fondue for dessert. Despite some late night shananigans after the elders left, which threatened the disappearance of Santa we got the house ready for Christmas morning.
Christmas day consisted of present opening, cinnamon roll eating, present playing, present fighting, and more present playing. Thanks to family for all of the gifts. We had a great time. I'm just glad to put the season behind and start fresh with 2010. So Merry Christmas to everyone and here's to a great new year.
